Prep all the ingredients accordingly.

In a saucepan, sauté the onions till translucent. Add the tomatoes, continue cooking.

Add the potatoes and carrots and allow to cook a little. Add the matoke spinach and peas next. You can also add the broth, and spices of choice at this point. Allow to cook till veggies are cooked.

If serving as a whole stew/soup, serve and garnish with a little finely chopped fresh dania.

If serving as soup, blend the stew. Add some broth till you get the desired consistency and serve.

Serve hot and enjoy. Can be eaten as is or with an accompaniment.
