Ingredients

  • 1 tbspClarified butter (ghee)
  • 1/2 cupGround wheat (Fada / Daliya)
  • 1/2 tspCardamom (elaichi) powdered
  • 1 tbspmix dry fruits, for garnishing
  • 2 tbspSugar (to taste)
  • 1 1/2 cupWater

Steps

  1. 1

    In a non-stick deep pan take clarified butter (ghee) and ground wheat (fada) and roast for 5 to 7 minutes on low flame till it's colour changes to white.

  2. 2

    Add lukewarm water and mix it well.

  3. 3

    Now add sugar to water and ground wheat mixture.
    Cook on low flame until all the water is soaked. This may take around 15 to 20 minutes.

  4. 4

    Once water is soaked add cardamom powder and mix everything well.
    To garnish add dry fruits (slivered) on top and serve hot.
