Soak raw rice for two hours and let it air dry for a while. Grind rice, jaggery, maida, cardamom, dry Ginger powder together with coconut milk adding as it is necessary.

Let is sit for two hours, fry coconut chunks in oil along with sesame seeds and add to this mix just before frying. By then pour oil into appa Kadai and get cooking until golden brown in each side.

Serve hot or at room temperature.
