1 cupRice
3/4 cupsplit black urad dal
10-15Garlic pods
1/2 cupGrated coconut
1 teaspoonFenugreek seeds
To tastesalt
5 cupsWater

Steps

In a pressure cooker add rice, urad dal, garlic, coconut, fenugreek seeds, salt and water.

Mix well and cook for 5 whistles.

Once the pressure settles down, open the lid and mix gently.

Serve hot with thuvaiyal or chicken gravy
