Ingredients

  1. 1 cupMango Jelly (Aam Sotto)
  2. 1/2 cupRaisins (Kismis)
  3. 1/2 cupDates (Khajur)-
  4. 1/2 cupCashews (Kaju)
  5. 4Tomato
  6. 1/2 cupMustard oil
  7. 2Dry red mirchi
  8. 1/2 cupTurmeric powder
  9. 1/2 cupSugar (or as much needed depending on sweetness)
  10. to tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    Soak Aam Sotto, Kismis, Kaju, Khajur in a bowl of water for at least 5 minutes. Do not drain the water, and keep it aside.

    Finely chop the tomatoes. Remove the seeds from the dates.

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a pan, put two dry red mirchi.

  4. 4

    Add the chopped tomatoes, stir till they get mushy and cooked well.

  5. 5

    Once tomatoes leave oil by the sides, add salt, turmeric powder and stir again.

  6. 6

    Put the Aam Sotto pulp into the pan and stir occasionally.

  7. 7

    Now add the dates and mix well. Likewise, keep adding the ingredients one after the other and stir from time to time. Add the raisins and cashews.

  8. 8

    Pour the mixed water of the dry fruits. Once all the ingredients are mixed properly, add sugar and simmer for 5 more minutes and it's done.
