Ingredients

6 servings
  1. For Dosa Batter:
  2. 1/2 cupSemolina
  3. 1/2 cuprice flour
  4. 1 tspcurd
  5. 1finely chopped onion
  6. 1chopped chilli
  7. 1/2 tspcrushed black pepper
  8. 1 tspsalt
  9. 4 cupswater
  10. 1 tspcumin
  11. 2 tspChopped coriander
  12. Oil for roasting
  13. For Masala of Dosa
  14. 3boiled potatoes
  15. 1Sliced onion
  16. 1 tspCumin
  17. 1/2 tspMustard Seeds
  18. 1/4 tspUrad Dal
  19. 1/4 tspChana Dal
  20. 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  21. 1/4 tspChilli powder
  22. 1/4 tspDry Mango Powder/ Amchur powder
  23. 1/4 tspGaram masala
  24. Salt as per taste
  25. 1 tspChopped coriander
  26. 1 tspOil

Steps

  1. 1

    In a mixing bowl, take semolina and rice flour

    To it add 1 tsp curd

    Add 2 cups of water and mix well. Make sure there are no lumps.

    In the batter add chopped chilli, cumin, black, coriander and chopped onion.

    Add 2 cups of water. Mix well. The batter should be in consistency of buttermilk. Keep the batter for 15-20 minutes so that rava absorbs water.

    In a meantime, heat a kadhai add oil, cumin, Mustard seeds. To that add Urad dal and chana Dal and stir on low flame for 1 minute.

    Add sliced onion and mix for 2 minutes till onion becomes light brown. Once onion become soft add turmeric powder, chilli powder and dry mango powder. Mix well on low flame for 1 minute

    Add boiled potatoes and salt as per taste. Mix well on low flame for 2 minutes

    Add Garam Masala and Coriander leaves

    Masala is ready for stuffing

    Heat non stick tawa. Mix the batter well and once the tawa is hot pour the batter on tawa. Keep the flame medium high for 1 minute. Spread 1 tsp of oil uniformly

    Lower the flame and cook till dosa turns golden and crisp. Add masala.

    Fold the dosa

    Instant Rava masala Dosa is ready to serve with Sambar.. ENJOY!!!
