Steps

10 mins
  1. 1

In a piece of fabric (gauze), put the licorice powder and sprinkle the sodium bicarbonate on top. Wrap the fabric over the powder like a navel and bind it well.

  2. 2

Place the prepared fabric in a big bowl and add in the water.

  3. 3

Soak overnight while flipping the fabric from time to time until the powder is diluted in the water.

  4. 4

Then, remove the fabric and place the licorice drink in a pitcher in the fridge.

  5. 5

    Serve it cold. Bon Appetit.

200 grams? That is nearly a half pound of licorice root in one pitcher of water. That's got to be a typo right?
