
Clam Chowder

We go to the coast and gather fresh clams, so we add quite a few of them to the chowder. I did not weigh them last time, so I am not sure how much you should add. I will make this chowder again and tidy up the ingredients. I just wanted to get the basics written down since this chowder came out so good. Experiment to your taste.

Saute bacon, onion & green pepper.

Add potato, water or clamp juice, salt and pepper (I always add a little cayenne pepper).

Simmer 10 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.

Add clams, simmer 8 to 10 minutes.

Add corn and 1/2 & 1/2. Mix flour into milk and stir into mix. Simmer until thickened.

Stir in butter and garnish with parsley.
