Ingredients

  1. For Boondi,
  2. 50 gram urad daal / spit black gram
  3. 50 gram urad daal / spit black gram
  4. 1 cupmaida / all purpose flour
  5. 2 tbspbesan / gram flour
  6. 1 pinchorange red food colour
  7. as neededOil for fry
  8. For making Barfi
  9. 1 and 1/2 cup sugar
  10. 1 and 1/2 cup sugar
  11. 1 tsplemon juice
  12. 1 pinchzarda colour
  13. 3/4 cupmaava
  14. 2 tbspmilk powder
  15. 1/2 tsprose water
  16. 1/2 tspgreen cardamon powder
  17. 1/2 cupnicely chopped mixed dry fruits, extra for sprinkle
  18. 1 tspdesi ghee for greasing
  19. as neededSilver warq for garnish

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and soak urad dal for 4 hours

  2. 2

    Now drain all water and transfer in mixer jar and make fine paste and transfer in a bowl

  3. 3

    Add besan,soda maida, food colour and gradually add 3/4 cup water and whisk no lumps remaining and prepare a semi liquid batter

  4. 4

    Now cover the batter and keep aside for 10 mins

  5. 5

    Now heat oil in kadhai, take a hole spoon, place some batter and pour over the oil and make boondi

  6. 6

    When boondi crisp left out from oil and do same with all better and prepare boondi

  7. 7

    For making barfi,take sugar and 1/2 cup water,when sugar melt add lemon juice, discard the impurities, and prepare the one string chashny

  8. 8

    Now add zarda colour,mix and cook

  9. 9

    Add mavaa in this chashni and cook

  10. 10

    Now add nicely chopped dry fruits,rose water, milk powder, green cardamom powder and mix well till all combine

  11. 11

    Add prepare boondi and mix lightly on low flame

  12. 12

    Now transfer the mixture in grease pan and spread evenly,spread dry over the top and press with palm to set

  13. 13

    Stick the silver warq over the top to garnish

  14. 14

    When it's lightly hot cut in pieces and rest to set

  15. 15

    When set, transfer in plate, now Homemade Boondi Barfi is ready to serve.
