Chin chin

Chin chin is a deep fried crunchy snack and it's common in most African counties there are quite a number of recipes for the snack and this ranges from the super hard ones to the soft ones but the one I will making today is neither too hard or too soft it's just in between so let's get started.

Chin chin is a deep fried crunchy snack and it's common in most African counties there are quite a number of recipes for the snack and this ranges from the super hard ones to the soft ones but the one I will making today is neither too hard or too soft it's just in between so let's get started.
Steps
- 1
I'm going to start off by combining some all purpose flour together with some baking powder which is optional if you want a harder chin chin add some Nutmeg give it a good mix and create a well at the center.
- 2
Now crack in one egg and add your 3 tbsp of melted butter and of course we need to add 1 cup of milk it actually important for all this ingredient be at room temperature the will help you to get the desired result.
- 3
Mix this ingredient together until dough is formed and once the dough is formed use your hand to kneed the dough for about 2 to 4 minutes now transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface.
- 4
Dust some flour the rolling pin as well and roll out the dough until it's very thin a thickness of about 1/4 to 1/6th of an inch is OK because the chin chin will double in size once you fry it.
- 5
So right now I'm going to start working with half of the rolle out dough I'm going to work with half letter I will first cut this into long strips but you can as well cut this into little squares, or any fancy shape you like.
- 6
Just make sure it's not too big Now that iam done cutting I will be frying this in a preheated oil of about 355'f you don't have to Wait to turn this over a continues stirring is what will get the chin chin evenly browned.
- 7
Once your desired browness is achieved take it off the heat and allow it to cool completely before serving. Enjoy

I hope you give this a try and I would like to hear feed back from you. thanks you all for viewing and like
