Ingredients

  • 1. Peanut - 1 cup
  • 2. Green chilly - 6
  • 3. Milk - 1/4 cup
  • 4. Water - 1/2 cup
  • 5. Salt - as needed
  • To temper:
  • 1. Oil - 1 tsp
  • 2. Mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • 3. Urid dal - 1/2 tsp
  • 4. Red chilli - 1
  • 5. Hing - a pinch
  • 6. Curry leaves - 1 string
  • 7. Coriander leaves - 1 tsp

Steps

  1. 1

    1. Roast peanut and clean the skin.

    2. Grind peanut along with green chilli, milk, water and salt.

    3. Transfer this to bowl.

    4. Heat 1 tsp of oil in small kadai add mustard, urad dal, red chilli, hing, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
    Temper this over the chutney.

    5. Serve hot with idli.
