Ingredients

  • 1. Cooked rice - 1 cup
  • 2. Carrot - 1 grated
  • 3. Onion - 1
  • 4. Green chilli - 1
  • 5. Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • 6. Hing - pinch
  • 7. Curry leaves - 1 string
  • 8. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • 9. Salt - as needed
  • 10. Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
  • To temper:
  • 1. Ghee - 1 tbsp
  • 2. Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • 3. Cashews - 5 slit into two

Steps

  1. 1

    1. Cook the rice and let it cool completely.

    2. Meanwhile heat 1 tbsp of ghee in kadai add fennel seeds, cashews. Roast till cashews change to golden brown.

    3. Now add thinly sliced onion, minced green chilli, curry leaves. Saute a bit.

  2. 2

    4. Now add grated carrot, turmeric powder, hing, salt. Saute nicely.

    5. Add graram masala saute a bit. Now add cooked rice to this. Mix thoroughly. Adjust salt.

    6. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with any chips.
