This is my husband's alternative to plain boiled yam and oil 'ji mmanu'. He regards the ji mmanu delicacy as 'poor man's food'! If not for one thing, I'd bring him out to the arena for that.

Roughly blend the peppers and onions

Put the oil in a pan and place on the burner
- 3
Once the oil heats up, add the blended peppers and onions and fry for a bit. The aim is to let the liquid content dry to your taste.

Add salt, protein of choice, shredded scent leaves, powdered crayfish any other seasoning of choice

Enjoy with boiled yam, potatoes, white rice or any other food that catches your fancy.
