Fry onion until light golden colour and set aside.

Heat oil add Kari pattay,1 medium sliced onion,red chili button, black peppercorns, cloves, green cardamom, black cardamom, cumin seeds,cook onion until it's changes its colour to light golden, do not over brown, light golden colour.

Now add potato fry for 2 mins then add ginger garlic paste, green chili paste fry for 2 mins again.

Now add salt, yougurt and cook on low flame until potatoes 3/4 done.

Now add kalay chana 1cup on high flame and mix well.

Bhunify for 3 mins, when oil separates your masala is ready.

Now add your soaked rice and salt and cook on high flame, when water dries, put your rice on dum.
