Crab and Cucumber with Vinegar Sauce (Sunomono) Crab and Cucumber with Vinegar Sauce (Sunomono)
This is on many restaurant menus, but I wanted to eat it at home so I made it. Sesame seeds really makes it fragrant.Adjust the amount of soy sauce to taste. The amount will depend on how much salt you use. For 2 to 3 servings. Recipe by Da-jirinchan cookpad.japan -
Holiday Roast Chicken With Rich Sauce Holiday Roast Chicken With Rich Sauce
We are a small family so I prepare chicken legs for us. A whole chicken is too much for us...If you roast only chicken legs they will roast better thanks to the baking parchment. When you roast vegetables together the vegetables underneath will absorb the chicken's cooking juice and it will taste better. You can do this with a frying pan.I mix various ingredients to make the marinade so it has a deep flavour. Soy Sauce Flavored Beef Soy Sauce Flavored Beef
You can mix this into freshly cooked rice to make flavored rice. Serve in a bowl topped with finely chopped chives and an egg yolk for a pretty treat. It's even good topped over rice in a bento!! The savory simmered juices seep into the rice, making it delicious. This is suited for thinly sliced thigh meat, or any meat that does not contain a lot of fat. I suggest using cheap thinly cut offcuts. You can also turn this into ochazuke (tea or hot water poured over rice). If you can't find peppercorns, it's fine with just the ginger. In that case, add more. If you prefer a sweet and salty taste, add 2 tablespoons of sugar. Recipe by Hanamaruranchi cookpad.japan -

Pink Salmon Fishcakes & Tartare Sauce Pink Salmon Fishcakes & Tartare Sauce
Every British kid gets these delicious 'fishcakes' for tea every once in a while. The name is misleading, and off-putting, but they have nothing to do with cake. They are made from mashed potato and fish (like tinned salmon or tuna, smoked haddock or mackerel or white fish). Celeste -
Easy Mentsuyu Noodle Sauce (Concentrated) Easy Mentsuyu Noodle Sauce (Concentrated)
Mentsuyu is convenient and delicious. I used to use storebought mentsuyu, but I wanted to make my own so I looked up recipes online. After several experiment with more or less mirin, sugar and so on, I think that this version is just like the storebought one I used to use. It's a bother to have to strain the liquid, so I put the bonito flakes in a large tea bag. Dry roast the used konbu seaweed and bonito flakes with sesame seeds and turn into furikake (rice seasoning). The mentsuyu sauce will keep for about a month in the refrigerator. For about 400 ml.
