Ingredients

45 minutes
4 persons
  1. 1 cupmaida / plain flour
  2. 1 tspdry active yeast
  3. 1 tbspsugar
  4. 1 tbspoil + some more for greasing the dough
  5. to tasteSalt
  6. 1/2water, or may be little less
  7. 1/2 cupfinely chopped onion
  8. 4tomatoes, freshly pureed
  9. 1 tbspoil
  10. 1 tbspfinely chopped garlic
  11. 1 tsporegano
  12. 1 tspmixed herbs
  13. 1 tspchilli flakes
  14. 1 tbspsugar
  15. to tasteSalt
  16. 8-10fresh basil leaves
  17. 1 /4 cup thinly sliced yellow bell pepper
  18. 1/4 cupthinly sliced green capsicum
  19. 1/4 cupthinly sliced tomatoes, deseeded
  20. 1/4 cupthinly sliced onion
  21. 1/2 cupgrated processed cheese

Cooking Instructions

    Gather all the ingredients for the dough at one place like maida, yeast, sugar, salt, oil and water

    First mix them with a spoon

  3. 3

    Combine all of them in a mixing bowl

  4. 4

    Then knead it properly with your hands

  5. 5

    Knead it into a smooth dough, apply little oil on top

  6. 6

    Cover with a moist muslin cloth

  7. 7

    Cover and keep it for an hour

  8. 8

    In the meantime prepare the pizza sauce, for this heat oil in a pan

  9. 9

    Add garlic and saute for few seconds, on low heat

  10. 10

    Then add chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes

    Put the chopped tomatoes in a mixer jar

  12. 12

    And grind them into a puree

  13. 13

    Now add this fresh tomato puree to the sauteed onion, mix well and cook on low heat, until all the moisture evaporates

    Gather other ingredients for the sauce also like oregano, mixed herbs, chilli flakes, salt and fresh sweet basil

    Now add oregano, mixed herbs, chilli flakes, sugar and salt to the mixture

  16. 16

    Mix them nicely and add chopped basil in the end

    The pizza sauce is ready, take it out in a bowl

    Now make a big ball from dough

    And roll it with the help of some dry flour, with your fingers

    Now heat a pan on low heat, place the rolled out roti in the pan and spread the pizza sauce all over very nicely

    Take processed cheese and grate it in a plate

    Spread the grated cheese all over on the pizza

  23. 23

    Now arrange the sliced vegetables like yellow bell peppers, green capsicum, tomato and onion, over the cheese

    Sprinkle some more cheese on top and spread some basil also on top

    Cover the lid and cook on lie heat for 15 - 20 minutes, until it cooks properly from both the sides

    After 20 minutes you can check from the bottom, it has cooked properly

    The pizza is ready to serve

    Take it out in a plate and cut in triangles, sprinkle some chilli flakes and oregano on top

    Serve hot with tomato sauce, from this quantity of dough 2 medium thick pizzas were made, 4 thin crust pizzas can also be made
