Steps

1. Grease loaf tin and line with parchment sheet. Preheat oven for 15 minutes
2. In bowl rub butter and flour together. Add punch of salt rub until it come to the stage of bread crumbs.
3. Add sugar and cherries. Break the egg.

4. Add vanilla essence. Mix together by adding milk if necessary add extra milk to give it a dropping consistency. Don't add too much it change to runny stage.
5. Bake in the oven at 180 degree C/Gas 4 until risen well and the colour should change golden brown. It takes about 1 hour 15 minutes.
6. Once cake done cool on wire rack and slice it.
