Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsWheat Flour
  2. 2 tspInstant Dry Yeast
  3. 3 tbspMilk Powder
  4. 1 tbspSugar
  5. 1 cupwarm Water
  6. 1 tspButter (room temperature)
  7. 1 pinchSalt
  8. As required Milk and Butter for brushing

Cooking Instructions

    In a small bowl, take warm water and add sugar. Stir well and add yeast and again stir well. Keep this bowl aside for 10 mins for yeast to get activate.

    In a mixing bowl, take flour. Add salt and milk powder. Mix all well. Then add yeast mixture to the flour. Mix everything well to make dough. Add warm water if required. Remove dough to the kitchen platform. Add butter and knead the dough very well for 10 to 15 mins to get soft and smooth dough. Grease and keep this dough in an bowl, covered with damp cloth in warm place for around 1 hour for proofing.

    After an hour or so, punch the dough to remove air. Sprinkle some flour and remove again the dough on kitchen platform. Again knead the dough for sometime. Divide the dough in equal 9 parts. Knead and roll each dough and flatten little and keep in greased mould. Keep this mould covered with a damp cloth in an warm place again for second proofing for an hour.

    After an hour, the balls will rise up and gets double in size. Brush the balls with milk and bake in an preheated oven for 25 to 30 mins on 180 degrees centigrade.

    Remove from oven and immediately brush pav with butter. Cover with damp cloth and keep aside for 10 mins.

    Remove pav from mould and cover it with damp cloth and keep aside to cool down completely.

    Enjoy with bhaji or wada or misal or butter, which ever way you like.
