Ingredients

  1. 1 cupdry peas
  2. 1 tbsp Oil
  3. 1 cupcurd
  4. 1grated tomato (optional)
  5. .2green chilli
  6. 1 inchginger
  7. 5-6curry leaves
  8. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 1-1 tsp cumin and coriander powder
  10. to tasteSalt
  11. 1bay leaf
  12. 2cloves
  13. 2 small pieces cinnamon
  14. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  15. 1 pinchAsafoetida
  16. 1/2 tsp garam masala (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Soak dry peas in water for 7-8 hours.

    Now pressure cook it adding bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon and little salt.

  3. 3

    Now make a fine paste of tomato, ginger, green chillies, curry leaves and curd.

    Heat oil in kadhai add cumin and mustard seeds in it.add Asafoetida in it.

    Add tomato paste in it and stir it.

  6. 6

    When oil started realse add dry spices in it.

  7. 7

    Add boiled peas and water if nessesary.

  8. 8

    Let it cook.

  9. 9

    Serve hot with steam rice or chapati

  10. 10

    Tip - you can add garlic also if you like it.
