Ingredients

4 servings
  1. foruttappam mix
  2. 1 cuprava
  3. 1/2 cupcurd
  4. 1/2 tspbaking soda (optional)
  5. 1/2 cupwater to mix or add as required
  6. as per tasteSalt
  7. for uttapam toppings:
  8. 1onion, finely chopped
  9. 1tomato, finely chopped
  10. 1medium capsicum, finely chopped
  11. 1green chilli, finely chopped
  12. few coriander leaves, finely chopped
  13. few curry leaves
  14. As per tasteSalt (careful we have added to uttappam mix)

Cooking Instructions

    In a large bowl add finely chopped onions, tomatoes; green chilli, coriander leaves and few curry leaves also add salt.

    Mix it properly with a big spoon and keep it aside.

    In a large bowl add 1 cup of rava.Add 1/2 cup of curd and mix well rava and curd.

    Now add 1/2 cup of water and make a thick batter.add some more water if required.

    Add 3/4 tsp of salt and mix it well.keep it aside for 30 Mins to 1 hour.

    After 30 min or 1 hour; now add 1/2 tsp of baking soda.once baking soda is added, start preparing uttapam immediately.

    In a dosa pan pour a ladleful of uttapam batter and spread in a circular motion, maintain the thickness of uttapam and it should not be like thin dosa.Before pouring the batter be careful that tawa should be greased with oil properly

    Now spread the toppings on top of the uttapam evenly.

    After the toppings have been added press gently so the toppings are pressed into the batter.

    Cover it and let it cook for 1-2 min in low flame.

    Flip over on the other side. Once the uttapam turns golden brown; cook it for 1-2 min in a low flame.Also add 1 tsp of oil around the uttappam for crispy texture.cook it for 2-3 minute on low to medium flame or till it became cooked and crispy

    Flip over again once more time,our instant rava uttapam is ready.Serve it with chutney of your choice.

    Note:----1 you can serve these uttapam with sambhar and chutney.2.you can also add grated carrots as toppings.3 if you don't like to add curd; swap it with lemon juice. 4.Rava should not be roasted. 5 use fine rava.
