Soak the chickpeas and urad dal for 12 hours. Now remove excess water and clean it.

Now add chickpeas, cumin seeds, celery, urad dal and chilli and grind it with the help of grinder.

Now add salt, sugars, grated coconut, asafoetida, a teaspoon hot oil and mix it well.

Heat oil in a pan or kadai. Now make small balls from this paste and with help of finger make a hole in it to form ring like shape.Now fry them till golden brown in the oil.

Now remove the fried chickpea (Chole) rings and serve it with your favourite chutney or Tomato sauce.
