In a pressure cooker, take the dal and water.pressure cook for 3-4 whistles. Add all the spice powder and salt to the dal.simmer for 10 min.In other pan take 2 tbsp oil.add cumin seeds, asafoetida and mix in the dal,add coriander leaves.

For pakwan mix the flour with the cumin seeds, oil,salt and sufficient water and make a dough.Let the dough rest sometime.later divide dough into equal portions.roll out each portion like chapati. Prick the surface with folk or knife.

Heat oil.fry all the pakwans till it turns crisp.To serve, take pakwan add chana dal on top and top with 1 tbsp of green chutney and 1 tbsp tamarind chutney.

Also top with 2 tbsp of chopped onion tomato and coriander.you can add curd too it's optional.enjoy pakwan with chana dal as dal pakwan.
