In cold weather like this, the hot menu must come. In my late 40 years old body needs a lot of fiber, think hard, we don’t like to eat white rice anymore because of a lot of carb, so it is the source of using rolled oats instead. Add some aroma as well, shiitake mushroom soup, chewed with rock sugar “umami” soup.

Ingredients

  1. 3 cupsrolled Oats
  2. 4-5 cups Water/ Chicken stock
  3. 4 Shiitake Mushroom, sliced
  4. 1 tbsp Rock Sugar
  5. 2 tbsps Soy sauce
  6. 1 tsp Salt
  7. Prawns
  8. Ginger, sliced
  9. Spring Onion
  10. Celery
  11. Pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Boil water with Shiitake Mushroom, salt, rock sugar and soy sauce. Boiled the prawns in soup a few mins. Scoops them down.

    Add oats, hot water into a pot allow to stand for till the soup is ready.

    Scoop the oats into a bowl. Put the prawns, sprinkle celery, spring onion, ginger and pepper. Pour Shiitake Mushroom on it. Ready to serve ‼️
