How to Boil Corn on the Cob in 6 Minutes in a Frying Pan

cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp
This is based on a method that a corn harvester taught me and modified it so the corn would cook through evenly for my family.
※ Raise the heat where the water gently bubbles and release steam.
※ Enjoy the cooked corn with salt if you like.
※ You can cook up to 3 cobs of corn in a 26 cm frying pan. Recipe by Banyangarden
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Fill a frying pan with enough water to cover 1/3 of the corn. Place the corn in the water and cover with a lid. Steam for 3 minutes.
- 2
After 3 minutes, flip the corn over and steam for another 3 minutes to finish!

How to Boil Corn on the Cob How to Boil Corn on the Cob
I've been experimenting to find the ultimate way to boil corn and found that this method was most delicious. The flavor barely changes at all whether boiled with or without the husks. The benefits of boiling with the husks is that they soften which will help decrease the amount of garbage, and the threads are easier to remove.◎The texture of the corn will change depending on when you add it to the water. If you add it while the water is already boiling, it will be crunchy. If you add the corn before the water boils, it will be plump and juicy.◎The white kernel corn has a thin skin so please don't boil them for too long.◎If you soak the corn in the saltwater, it won't crinkle up. If you are not going to eat right away, cover with plastic wrap and store. Recipe by Dosankomisuzu cookpad.japan -

If you don't want to turn them over though, just microwave for 5 to 6 minutes.I've already said this in the instructions, but please be careful not to burn yourself. It's really hot when you take it out! Recipe by natsuno cookpad.japan -

This method I learned from my mother can also be applied to other uses.Since this method only uses a small amount of water, you barely need any salt. This method results in a very brightly colored and flavorful corn. Since it uses only a small amount of water with a short boiling time, it's perfect for hot summer days.See my preparation methods for edamame, fava beans, green beans, etc. It only takes between 1-4 minutes to cook this way, so it's perfect for summer vegetables. For 2 servings. Recipe by gyogyoum cookpad.japan -
