Ingredients

  1. 1whole chicken
  2. 2 tablespoonsturmeric powder
  3. 1 teaspoonssalt
  4. Ingredients to blend
  5. 35 gramsbird’s eye chili
  6. 250 gramsred onions
  7. 60 gramsgarlic
  8. 60 gramslemongrass
  9. 60 gramsturmeric
  10. 60 gramsginger
  11. 1 stalkfern shoots
  12. 8 piecesdried tamarind
  13. 300 gramscoconut milk
  14. 15 gramsturmeric powder
  15. 300 gramswater
  16. to tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Marinate the chicken with the turmeric and salt for approximately 3 hours

  2. 2

    Grill or smoke the chicken on a charcoal stove or grill in your desired method.

  3. 3

    Blend all the items to make a paste.

  4. 4

    Boil the water in a pot and pour in the paste. Cook the gravy til it becomes fragrant.

  5. 5

    Put in the chicken into the pot.

  6. 6

    Put in the fern shoots.

  7. 7

    Lastly, pour in the coconut milk and salt. Cook further til ready.
