Ingredients

  1. as neededBread :
  2. 1 cupBesan :
  3. 1Onion : chopped
  4. 1 tspTurmeric powder :
  5. to tasteRed chilli powder
  6. to tasteGaram masala powder
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. as neededCoriander leaves
  9. as neededWater to make the batter
  10. as neededOil
  11. For serving :
  12. as neededFresh coconut chutney

Cooking Instructions

    Take a shallow bowl and add everything except coriander leaves, oil and bread.

    Mix well. Pour in some water and make a thin batter of pouring consistency.

  3. 3

    Add coriander leaves and mix well.

  4. 4

    Heat tawa with a tbsp of oil. Take a slice of bread cut it into half. Now dip it in the batter and put it on the tawa.

  5. 5

    Heat both the sides till golden. Serve hot with ketchup.

  6. 6

    Tips : Instead of fresh coconut chutney any chutney or ketchup can be used.

can I make this with semolina instead of besan??
