Ingredients

  • 1 cupGranulated or coarsaly grind rice flour
  • 1 cupgranulated or coarsely grind wheat flour
  • 2 cups (150 g)jaggery (gud)
  • 1-1/2 cupcurd(yogurt)
  • 1 cupghee for moiyan
  • 300 mlghee for frying
  • 1/2 cupsliced coconut for garnishing
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Take rice flour and wheat flour in bowl and add ghee in it and mix well. Then cover it and take rest for 6 hours for soaking ghee.

    Take another bowl mix well jaggery and curd.Add cardamom powder.
    Then add into flour ghee mixture and mix well like loose mixture.
    Let this set the whole night/9 hour for fermentation.

    Then next day firstly make jaggery Syrup of 1 string consistency
    Boil water and jaggery together and make 1 string syrup take it off.

    Heat pan/kadhai with ghee take a small balls of the fermented mixture and flatten by patting it and gently slide it into hot ghee.

    Deep fry the dumplings in ghee on medium heat until dehrori goes dark brown and add this to the jaggery syrup and let it soak.

    Served warm or cold in the serving plate garnish with coconut strips.
    Your delicious chhattisgarh recipe Dehrori is ready.
    We had it for over 3/4 days keeping it in the refrigerator.

    Tips
    Take granulated / coursaly grind rice and wheat flour.
