It is one of the traditional delicious specially prepared on the occasion of Deepavali. It is specially offered to cows on the occasion of go pooje at night. After all pooja gets over it's time to eat all yummy preparations made at home.
Steps

Wash and soak for rice 3 hours. Nicely grind rice without adding much water. It Should be thick in consistency. Mix salt to the batter, keep aside.

Wilt the banana leaves by holding on flame, remove the fiber, and clean with towel.

Peel off the skin of cucumber and finely chop them.

Chopped cucumber and mix with rice batter

Take on laddle full of mixed batter, spread on banana leaf, fold as illustrated in picture. Repeat for the remaining batter.

Keep the steamer ready by putting required amount of water. Keep the folded kottige /kadubu one by one inside steamer.

Once the steam starts coming out, keep in mediam flame and cook for 30 minutes. (Cokking time depends on quantity).

Cucumber kottige / kadubu ready.

Serve with chutney.
