Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupSabut Urad Dal ,soaked overnight, drained,rinsed well.
  2. 8Garlic Cloves ,roughly chopped
  3. 1Onion ,medium, finely sliced
  4. 1 cupTomato Puree
  5. 1 tspKashmiri Red Chilli Powder
  6. 1/2 tspRed Chilli Powder
  7. 1/4 tspHaldi Powder
  8. 1 tspRoasted Cumin Powder
  9. 1 tspRoasted Dhaniya Powder
  10. As requiredChopped dhaniya leaves
  11. 1 tbspbutter
  12. 4 tbspoil

Cooking Instructions

    Pressure cook with 1 tbsp chopped ginger and garlic till done. With a spatula, mash lightly half the dal, keep aside.

    In a pan, heat butter + oil.
    Add garlic and ginger.cook till the raw smell is gone.
    Add onion. fry till golden brown. Add powdered spices
    Cook well till oil separates.

    Add tomato puree. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
    Add the pressure cooked dal.
    Mix well..
    Add salt and mix
    Cook till dal thickens.
    Add 2 tbsp of fresh cream and 1 tbsp crushed Kasuri methi...
    Mix cook on low flame for 1 minute.
    Switch off flame.
    Garnish with more cream and dhaniya leaves
    Serve hot..
