The night before slush is needed, mix gelatin with hot water to dissolve.

Add 1 cup sugar and stir to dissolve.

Add large can of pineapple juice.

Stir and add enough cold water to make 1.5 gallons. Freeze overnight. Chill ginger ale in refrigerator.

A few hours before time to serve, remove from freezer and partially thaw. Break up the mixture to form slush.

Put slush in punch bowl and add chilled ginger ale to taste.
