Ingredients

  1. 100 gmsGhee
  2. 100 gmspowdered sugar
  3. 100 gmsAll purpose flour or maida
  4. 25 gmsBesan flour
  5. 25 gmsfine semolina or suji or rawa
  6. 1/2 tspbaking powder
  7. 1 tspcardamom powder
  8. as required Cashewnuts or pistachios for garnishing

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix the flour, rawa, besan, baking powder and cardamom powder.

  2. 2

    Beat ghee and sugar till fluffy.

  3. 3

    Add the flour mixture, do not over beat it. Knead into a dough and leave it covered aside for 2 hours.

  4. 4

    Preheat oven at 200 deg C for 10 mins or as per your ur oven instructions.

  5. 5

    Form into balls and flatten them slightly like a biscuit and place them on baking sheet. Make cross design.

  6. 6

    Garnish with crushed pistachios.

  7. 7

    Bake the nankantai for 15 mins. Cool on a wire rack and serve

    Store in an airtight container.
