Ingredients

2 servings
  • 1/2 cupjaggery (grated)or sugar as per taste
  • To grind -
  • 2 tablespoonsrice
  • 1 teaspoonfennal seeds
  • 1 teaspooncumin seeds
  • Otheringredients to make Raab-
  • 1 teaspoondesi ghee
  • 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoonfennel seeds
  • 2green cardamoms
  • as neededChopped cashews and almonds
  • 1 teaspoonpoppy seeds
  • 1 tbspedible gum (ground)

Steps

  1. 1

    First of all, dry roast the rice, fennel seeds and cumin seeds in a pan, till it becomes light golden.

    After it cools down, put it in the mixer jar and grind coarsely.

    Now heat the ghee in a pan, now add the ground mixture of rice,fennel and cumin seeds, now add cumin seeds, fennel seeds and cardamom, then add the ground gum and fry it on low flame for 1 minute.

    Now add 2 cups of water to it and let it boil, reduce the heat and add chopped cashews, almonds, poppy seeds and let it cook for about 8 -10 minutes.

    After cooking, add jaggery and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, turn off the heat.
    Serve hot when ready.
