Ingredients

  1. 100 gmbasmati rice
  2. 200 gmsugar
  3. 1 litremilk
  4. 10 gmkaju
  5. 2bay leaves
  6. to tasteSalt
  7. 4crushed cardamom
  8. as neededWater
  9. 1 tbspdesi ghee

Cooking Instructions

    First take a pressure cooker and add ghee.then add pinch of sugar. When it's colour is just brown then add water. Put rice in it. Add salt and the bay leaves.

    Boil it till first whistle. Then slow the gas flame for 5 minutes. Then off the gas and the steam gets fully released. Then add sugar. Poured the boiled milk into the pressure cooker. Stir well.

    Now put the pressure cooker without lid on the gas stove in medium flame.stiring continuously regular intervals. Boil it for about 10 minutes. Continue stirring.Then add fried cashews.switch off the flame. And the rice kheer is ready.
