Atho is a traditional dish in Saurashtra.
This is eaten by the bride and groom after the wedding. Traditionally sakar is used but I have used sugar and sugar coated fennel sweets.

This is eaten by the bride and groom after the wedding. Traditionally sakar is used but I have used sugar and sugar coated fennel sweets.

Soak the kharek in warm water for an hour. Remove from water and pat dry. Spread it on kitchen towel so any access water is absorbed. Once dried completely cut the kharek into small pieces.

In a bowl add ghee and powdered sugar and beat with hand whisk until nice and fluffy. Add the rest of the ingredients and transfer in an air tight jar. Its ready to serve the next day.
