Clean the bathua and then wash it thoroughly with water and boil till a whistle comes in the cooker.

Peel the potatoes and boil them. When the Bathua is boiled, turn it back in the sieve and cool it. Then remove all the water by pressing it with your hands. Heat 2 spoons of oil in the pan and add asafoetida cumin and add the boiled potato pieces to the Bathua. Add salt and all the spices and roast it very well. Let it cool down.

Knead the dough and make a dough, make small balls with dough.and fill it with the bathauaa pitthi.and fry it on a hot pan with oil or ghee on both sides till it becomes golden.
