Dry roast the sesame seeds, peanuts, coconut, cloves, garlic and onion. Cool it. Grind it and make a paste. Keep aside.

In a pressure cooker. Heat oil. When the oil is hot. Add mustard seeds, few curry leaves and one dry red chilli. Then add brinjal. Saute it for a few minutes. Then add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder. Then add paste. Saute it for three minutes.

Add water. Cover it and cook for two whistle. Once it is done. Cool it. Open the lid. Transfer to a serving plate.

Garnish with coriander leaves. Ready to serve with hot rice and sambhar.
