Ingredients

  1. 2 cupschana dal
  2. 2onions (medium sized)
  3. 9 clovesgarlic
  4. 2tomatoes (medium size)
  5. 1/2dry coconut
  6. as per tasteSalt
  7. 2 tablespoonsoosal masala
  8. 4green chillies
  9. 2 inchesginger
  10. 4 tablespoonsoil

    Cook chana dal till 5 whistles. Let the cooker release naturally then blend the dal with blender

    Meanwhile saute onion, garlic on tawa for 5 minutes on low flame, then make a fine paste of onion, garlic, ginger, green chilli and dry coconut in a mixer jar.

    Take a utensil heat up oil add this mixture and saute for 5 minutes on medium flame now add tomato puree, salt, turmeric powder,oosal masala, red chilli powder, simmer for 10 minutes then add chana dal to.this mixture. Boil dal for 5 minutes switch off the flame. Aamti is ready to serve.
