Ingredients

  • For Khada Bhaji :
  • 3 tbspButter
  • 3medium sized Onions chopped
  • 5Finely chopped Garlic Cloves
  • 4medium sized Tomatoes chopped
  • 2medium sized Capsicum chopped
  • 1/2 cupBoiled Cauliflower Florets chopped
  • 1 cupBoiled Green Peas
  • 3medium sized Boiled Potatoes diced in small pieces
  • 2 tspRed Chilli Powder
  • 2 tspPav Bhaji Masala
  • 1 tspCoriander Jeera Powder
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/2 cupWater
  • 1 1/2 tspLemon Juice
  • 1/4 cupFresh Green Coriander Leaves chopped
  • For Pav :
  • 8-10Ladi Pav's
  • As neededButter for roasting Pav
  • For serving :
  • As neededChopped Onions and Lemon Slices

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat butter in a heavy bottom pan on medium flame. Add onions and cook till it turns translucent. Add chopped garlic cloves and saute for a minute.

    Add tomatoes and capsicum and cook for 3 to 4 mins stirring occasionally.

    Now add cauliflower, green peas, red chilli powder, dhania jeera powder, pav bhaji masala and salt. Also add water. Mix all well and cook for 5 to 6 mins on medium flame.

    Add green coriander leaves and lemon juice. Mix well and further cook for a minute. Switch off the flame. Khada Bhaji is ready.

  5. 5

    For Pav : Slit the pav. Heat butter on a tawa. Keep 2 slit Pav's on tawa and roast till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides. Roast all the pav's.

  6. 6

    Serve hot roasted Pav's with hot Khada Bhaji along with chopped onions and lemon slices.
