Shahi dal fry with jeera rice

Wash and soak in 2 cup of water for half hour. Now add tomato, onions, green chilies,ginger, garlic,turmeric powder and salt to dal, pressure cook for 3-4 whistle, switch off flame and allow to release pressure from cooker.

Mix dal with help of hand blender. Now add 2 cups of water and give dal one boil add saffron milk and cream mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes.

Heat pan with ghee, add cumin seed when splutter add bayleaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, star anise saute for 15 second add red chilli powder,garam Masala powder, asafoetida,coriander and mint leaves and temper on dal.

Heat coal directly on flame, put burning coal in bowl place it on centre of dal pour ghee and shahi jeera on coal cover lid for 3-4 minutes, remove bowl from dal and ready to serve with jeera rice.
