Taka A big deep bowl / deep vessel. Put refined flour, add colour and baking powder and mix thoroughly then slowly pour buttermk and whisk thoroughly to make A lumpfree battter. Now add little water and keep whisking to make A smooth silky batter. And keep it aside for few minutes.

Meanwhile take A deep vessel to prepare sugar syrup heat Water in it and add sugar. Keep stirring continuosly on low flame to prepare A nice sugar syrup. Add few strands of saffron and elaichi powder

Now heat oil for deep frying in deep pan. Now take A round steel mould or pot ring. And place it in the centre of the pan.

Dip your fingers in the batter for few minutes and immediately pour the batter inside the ring / mould by rotating your fingers continuosly to give A dense round shape of strings. Deep fry on low to mediun flame on both the sides.

Now remove it from oil...remove excess oil and dip it in the sugar syrup.soak for 10-15 minutes and flip to soak on other side. Serve by garnishing with finely grated almonds. And enjoy with family and friends on holi
