Apocalypse survival bars

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Mix dry ingredients (oats and protein powder) in a large bowl. Mix throughly, more than you need to, trust me, dry ingredients need more love to integrate.
- 2
Mix peanut butter and maple syrup in a Pyrex measuring cup and microwave in 15 second cycles until you can whisk them together. Then whisk them together.
- 3
Mix the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Mix with a spatula until no pockets of dry powder or oats remain.
- 4
Press into an 8x10 glass pan lined with parchment by hand until an even layer is spread.
- 5
Place in refrigerator until cool.
- 6
Warm chocolate in a double boiler or in a Pyrex measuring cup in the microwave (15 second cycles until melted throughout).
- 7
Pour warm chocolate onto cool bars, refrigerate until chocolate is fully set.
- 8
Remove from pan, remove parchment. Using a knife, trim the edges until an even rectangle forms. Cut into 12 even bars.
- 9
CONSUME.

Definitely delicious and a great energy restorer after heavy workouts or cardio. You'll be tempted to even eat it as a dessert after any meal. ;) (**Disclaimer: I would highly suggest you not eat these bars or other items with protein powder in them unless having been doing intense physical activity, for they can be very unhealthy if eaten on a lazy day.) Super Protein Bars Super Protein Bars
I always wanted to try to make protein bars. They are very easy to grab and go. Here is how ended up with. (If you don’t have almond meal you can make your own with pulsing whole almonds in a food processor until get crumbly texture has formed. Do little pulses, do not use processor continuously , unless you want almond “butter”) Choose your own ingredients , I don’t like chocolate very much , but you can add in the mixture. You can also wrap them individually and freeze them. Rae
