Gaajar ka Halwa is another delicacy that Pakistanis enjoy making and love eating during the winter season. There must be no house, rich or poor where this meetha isn't made and enjoyed during the chilli days.

Wash and peel the carrots. Grate them using a grater.

Put the carrots in a pan along with sugar and put the lid on. Let it cook on a medium low flame for around 20 minutes till the carrots are done and the water released has evaporated.

Add the nido powder, mix well and let it steep.

In another pot, heat ghee. When hot add elaichi powder to it and give tarka to the halwa. Put the lid on and leave for 2 to 3 minutes for dum.

Turn off the flame and then transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with khoya and nuts as you prefer. Serve hot or cold as you like.
