Ingredients

  • 2medium sized potatoes - peeled and diced
  • 1red onion
  • 2 tablespoonstomato paste
  • 1 cupfrozen peas
  • Salt, red chilly powder, turmeric, garam masala
  • Cooking oil
  • cumin seeds

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a deep pan. Add cumin seeds wait for them to pop. Now add chopped onions.

    When the onions turn soft, add tomato paste. Add salr, red chilly powder, turmeric. Stir, and quickly add 1/4th cup of water. Mix well.

    Now add diced potatoes to it. Mix so that the potatoes are coated with the cooked paste.

    Now add peas to it.

    Add 2 cups of boiled water, cover it and let it cook on medium heat. Stir after 5 minutes and check if the potatoes are cooked. If cooked, add garam masala (1 teaspoon), turn the heat to low, uncover the pot and cook it for another 2-3 minutes.

    Serve with rice or bread.
