Steps

Pressure cook dal together with pinch of turmeric and keep it for 3 whistles

Tadka:butter add mustard seeds,cumin seeds let it splutter then add chopped green chilies,hing and red chilli

Then add chopped onions,fry till golden then add ginger and garlic paste saute for min then add chopped tomatoes add salt,turmeric powder red chilli powder and mix well cook till tomatoes gets musshy..then add boiled dal mix well add water close the lid let it boil on low flame for 5 mins..then add garam masala kasuri methi and boil for 10 mins on low flame...then switch off the flame add half lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves..
