Remember when your Mom told you chicken soup would cure a cold? It may not cure it, but it certainly aids in recovery! Onions and garlic are natural antibiotics, the warmth of the broth relieves throat pain, and you get a serving of veggies!Serve this soup with fresh bread or crusty rolls, and a green salad with a creamy dressing.

My mom has always made this for celebrations and parties. It's great for baby showers etc.

Cacciatore's one of the first dishes I learned to make. In those early, blissfully ignorant days, it wasn't much more than chicken, marinara sauce, and spaghetti all tossed together and baked in the oven. In the years since, it's evolved to become much more authentic. What hasn't changed is my mom's love of the dish, to the point that cacciatore's become one of her go-to requests whenever there's a special occasion. This one's for you, Mom!

I love this chicken gizzard recipe. Chicken gizzards are cheap, have great texture, and are delicious. I love them.Parboil the gizzards to remove their gamy odor in Step 2 starting with boiling water. I had completely forgotten about this recipe until mom reminded me of it. When I was a kid, I didn't dig on veggies much, so it is no wonder I had forgotten this. Now that I am older and eat my veggies, this stew rocks. I remember my father loved when mom would make it.
