Ingredients

  • 3/4 cupmasoor
  • 1/2 cuptoor dal
  • 1onion chopped
  • 2red chilly
  • 1sp garlic chopped
  • 1sp ginger chopped
  • 1sp hing
  • 4sp corriander leaves finely chopped
  • 1sp kasuri methi
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1sp Kashmiri chilly powder
  • 1sp dry mango powder
  • 1sp jeera
  • 1sp saunf/fennel seeds
  • 1/2sp turmeric powder
  • 2sp ghee
  • 1sp oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and soak dal.

    Pressure cook dal.

  3. 3

    Heat oil and ghee in kadai add jeera,saunf,red chillies,garlic,ginger, onions and saute for a while.

    Now add turmeric powder, chilly powder,hing, corriander leaves, kasuri methi and mix well.

    Add dal to kadai mix it well and add dry mango powder,salt and water to make consistency add chopped coriander leaves and serve with rice and chapati.
