First we are going to pressure cook the cubed gourds for that you have to add cube gourds in a pressure cooker add one cup of water one teaspoon of salt and boil it with two whistles

Take a pan heat two and a half tablespoons of mustard oil add Two bay leaves 1 dry red chilli add 1 tablespoon of ginger paste add salt to taste and sugar

Cook the masala well so that the oil get separated now add the the boiled gourds. Add water according to your requirement and check the salt and sugar whether it is perfect with the taste or not and there you go serve this Dal with hot steam rice with fried potatoes it's a very famous Bengali platter.
