Bengali people love having raw mango in this summer season and will look for various ways to use raw mango. I prepared Moong Dal with Raw mango which gives a tart and sweet taste as I’ve also added sugar in a small quantity.

Bengali people love having raw mango in this summer season and will look for various ways to use raw mango. I prepared Moong Dal with Raw mango which gives a tart and sweet taste as I’ve also added sugar in a small quantity.

Soak the Moong Dal for 15 mins. Roast the Moong Dal for 2 mins. Wash the mango and cut into thin slices

In a bowl boil water for 5 mins, add Moong Dal and once boiled by 15 mins, add mango slices and sugar and salt.

Once mango boiled set aside.

In a non stick pan heat oil, add mustard seeds and whole red chilli and once splutters set off from fire.

Add the tarka into the boiled mango Dal.

Plate the Moong Tok Misti Dal and enjoy with steamed rice.
