Wash rice, moong dal and tuar dal. Soak in water for atleast 20 minutes. Hot 2 tbsp ghee in a pressure cooker, add drained rice and dal. Pour 5 cups of Water, add sugar,salt and turmeric powder. Pressure cook for 3 whistle on a medium flame.

Now in a pan heat 1 tbsp ghee. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf and asafoetida.let the cumin crackle. Add ginger paste and saute for 2 minutes.nowfry onions for 3 minutes. Add capsicum, tomato and green chillies in it. Now add red chilli powder, taste to salt,garam masala, cinnamon powder and stir well.

Now add cooked khichdi and add more water for mushy consistency. Add chopped coriander leaves. Mix all ingredients well. More ghee on the khichdi and serve it.
