Birria
Birria tacos. A practical and flavorful option!
Steps
- 1
Remove the seeds from the chile. Blend the chile, garlic, bay leaves, avocado leaf, salt, and steak seasoning with 2 cups water (about 500 ml) for 5 minutes until very smooth. Strain the mixture.
- 2
Place the beef, strained blended mixture, and the remaining water in a large pot. Bring to a boil.
- 3
Once it boils, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot tightly (use aluminum foil for a better seal), and simmer for 3 1/2 hours.
- 4
Remove the meat from the pot and chop or shred it to your desired size.
- 5
Make delicious tacos with the meat, cilantro, onion, lime, and salsa. Serve with a small cup of the broth from the pot.
